Craig has been heavily involved in the equine industry from an early age. From rodeoing, Pony Club to Agricultural shows, Craig knew his forte would be working with horses.
The passion for racing commenced whilst riding trackwork for his uncle Ron Martin who was leading trainer of the Hunter and Northwest for over 30 years.
Whilst studying equine dentistry in the early 1990’s, Craig was Forman for his brother Tim’s Tamworth stable for a number of years. In 2003 Craig obtained his trainer’s license and commenced his own training base at the Tamworth racecourse. He was successful in winning the 2003-2004 Hunter and Northwest training premiership and named NSW Country Trainer of the year in 2005. He has continued this success over the years winning multiple country cups and Country highway races.
